Community fund

Introduction

Each year, Coastal Recycling has around £300,000 to award to deserving community projects through our Coastal Recycling Community Fund.

Since 1998, we have supported over 200 projects in Devon and our community support now exceeds £3 million.

Where does the money comes from?

All waste that is landfilled is subject to Landfill Tax. However, a percentage of this levy can be used to fund environmental and community projects through the Landfill Communities Fund.

To take advantage of this opportunity, we therefore established the Coastal Recycling Community Fund.

How is the fund is adminstered?

The Coastal Recycling Community Fund is managed and administered for us by GrantScape.

GrantScape is a registered charity and an enrolled Environmental Body under the Landfill Communities Fund.

Eligibility criteria and how to apply for a grant

Grants of between £5,000 and £25,000 are available from the Coastal Recycling Community Fund for community projects benefiting the natural, built and/or social environment.

To be eligible for a grant, projects need to be located within 10 miles of our landfill operations at Deep Moor (near Great Torrington) and Kenbury Wood (near Exeter).
